Faulty Diction
Faulty Diction, is a series of color photographs ranging in size from 4ft to 6ft and depict sport trophy figures kicking, hitting and holding books. These images describe the perfection of juvenile merit; the trophy figures represent the authority of idealized forms and the books represent the construction of a discourse that is characterized by errors in language. I am interested in the book as an authoritative object.
*ALL of these images were shot with 4x5 film and have NOT been digitally manipulated.
